‘SHARE THE BLESSINGS OF EID WITH FITRAANA’
Zakat-ul-Fitar, also known as Fitrana, is a form of charity in Islam typically given during the holy month of Ramadan before the Eid prayers. The purpose of giving fitrana is multifaceted. Primarily, Zakat-ul-fitar is for the purification of the fast. It is believed to cleanse our fasts from any indecent act or speech committed while observing them. Additionally, fitrana serves as support for needy people in society, helping them meet their basic needs so they can celebrate Eid with their children and families. The amount of Zakat-ul-Fitar is equivalent to the cost of staple food for one person for one day and is given on behalf of every member of the family. Typically, the amount of fitrana is equivalent to 2 kg of wheat, dates, or another food stuff. Fitrana strengthens the bond of brotherhood and solidarity within the community and allows us to share the blessings of Eid-ul-fitr with the less fortunate. Every year, KGNWT ensures your Fitrana reaches those who need it most. We strive to spread joy and blessings of Eid with deserving individuals and families, benefitting the community in the best way possible.
